Anita L. ( Bartolai) Giovagnoli, 82, of Pittston Twp., passed away on Sunday July 6, 2014 at the Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre Hospital Celtic Healthcare Inpatient Unit.

Born in Pittston Twp., she was the daughter of the late Isadoro and Giorgia Bernardi Bartolai.

She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston .

Anita was a 1949 graduate of Pittston Twp. schools and had worked in the garment industry, and as a waitress for many years at Savo's Restaurant, Pittston. Her compassion for people brought her also to work at Golden Care Home Health Care.
Anita was always so proud of her Italian heritage and excelled as a  cook and baker of Italian delicacies.  She took great joy  in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Arthur and Albert Bartolai.

Surviving are her children: Lita and her husband Scot Felkowski, Duryea and Leo and his wife Lisa Giovagnoli, Oneonta,N.Y.
Grandchildren, Scot, Aftin and Robert Felkowski and Nicholas, Bianca and Anthony Giovagnoli.

Also a brother Geno Bartolai, Pittston and a sister in law Marie Bartolai, Hugheston. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church ( St. Joseph Morello Parish), William St., Pittston. The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. will serve as  celebrant.

Entombment will be in the Glenwood Mausoleum, Clark Summit.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
