Lynda ( Kurilla) Mantush, 56, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday May 26, 2014 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of Rita Anne Isopi Kurilla, Exeter, and the late Andrew Kurilla.

Lynda was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and attended Luzerne County Community College and graduated from Misericordia University, Dallas.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Alex Mantush, Wilkes-Barre, and sons Alex, Jr, and Andrew both of Wilkes- Barre. And a daughter Tanya and her husband Joseph Tilli, Bethlehem. 2 grandchildren, Gianna and Trace.

Also surviving are brothers Andrew Kurilla, Jr. Exeter and Frank and his wife Colleen Kurilla, Plains, and great friend. Don Jedrick, Laflin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Friday May 30, 2014 at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.

Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.

The family requests flowers be omitted and donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

My deepest condolences to the family in these hard times. Lynda will be missed and she will always be in my heart. She is now with the Lord looking down with a smile shining bright like an angel.

The pain of losing a loved one can be overwhelming.
Our heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will 'swallow up death forever, and wipe the tears from all faces' Isaiah 25:8.
What a wonderful future hope that is.
