She attended Wyoming High School and then worked for the Household Finance Company.

Marie had been married to Dr. Charles J. Montante and is also survived by her sons, Joseph and his wife Annette, Abington, Pa. and Larry and his fiancee, Ann, Swoyersville, along with  three granddaughters Julia, Livia and Genevieve. a brother, Robert and his wife Vivian Trottini, Exeter.

She was preceded in death by her sister Irene Zarnoch, and a brother Lawrence Trottini.

After years of dedicated volunteer work with The Arthritis Foundation, she attended both Wilkes and Kings Colleges, ultimately receiving a degree in Theology from Kings College.  After earning her degree, she became an Amway representative and then felt the desire to become a Real Estate Professional. Upon getting her license, she honed her skills at Joseph P. Gilroy Real Estate and then with Lewith and Freeman Real Estate, Inc., where she became and remained a top agent throughout her career, receiving the 2013 Excellence Award in recognition for 20 years of outstanding service, dedication and being a continual Top Producer.

Marie was also active in her spirituality and was a founding member of The Beginning Experience and was committed to assisting those who suffered the loss of a marital spouse or partner, or anyone in the need of counseling. A proud accomplishment was completing her life work of becoming a Certified Spiritual Director and guiding retreatants through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

My Aunt Marie remains in a very special place in my heart & always will. Her wonderful spirit & awesome teachings have touched all of our lives & will remain with us forever. I 'm not there physically but my love & support are there in spirit for my cousins and their families. We have wonderful memories to rejoice about. I know this is still a tough time & she will be deeply missed, but know she is looking down on us with a smile because she is with peace & contentment knowing she did God's work while on earth and now she can enjoy eternal life without anymore pain or sufferring.

Dear Charlie,
Joe and I regret not being able to be at Marie's Memorial Monday.
Unfortunately,it's the same day that Jan's youngest is graduating from college. It was good to meet up with Marie recently at yoga.We were all saddened to hear of her health issues these past months.
Her accomplishments were many-you must all be so proud.
