Helen A. Yarosheski, 94, formerly of Forest City, and a resident of the Jewish Home, Scranton, passed away Monday February 10, 2014 at the CMC Medical Center, Scranton.
Helen was the widow of the late Norbert R. Yarosheski who died April 21, 1972.
Born in Scranton, February 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Melesky Vaivada. She was a graduate of Johnson School, Scranton. Helen , lived in Philadelphia for thirty years raising her three sons before returning to the area in 1971 to reside in Forest City. In 2010 she became a resident of the Jewish Home of Northeast Pa.
Preceding her in death were her brothers Kenneth, Francis, Joseph, and Leonard Vaivada.
She is survivied by her sons, David and his wife Carol Krawetz Yarosheski, Clarks Summit, Paul and his wife Carol Yarosheski, Havertown, Pa. and Mark and his wife Debbie Yarosheski, Peckville. Also 5 grand children that she loved and adored dearly. Lauren and her husband Steve Cawley, Paul Jr., Philip, Alison, and Emily Yarosheski, alson with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Jewish Home, especially the nurses and aids of the fifth floor for the kindness and loving care they provided to Helen during her time there.
Services were private and entrusted to the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home of Northeast Pa. 1101 Vine St. Scranton, Pa.
