Michael A. Evans, 34, of Hughestown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 29, 2013 at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.

Born in Kingston, he was the son of Arthur W. and Kathy Benson Evans, West Pittston.

Michael was a 1997 graduate of Wyoming Area School District, Exeter and attended Penn College, Williamsport.


He was employed in the sales department at Home Depot, Wilkes-Barre.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Leona Evans and father in law William J. James.

Surviving  are his wife, the former Mollie James, with whom he would have been married 6 years on September 15. and his parents, Art and Kathy Evans, West Pittston
His sisters, Allison her husband William Pepe, West Pittston, Jamie her husband Thomas Broda, West Pittston.
Also nieces and nephews Katie, Billy and Libby Pepe and Leona and Cooper Broda, along with his many cousins and loving family members.
Most of all, Michael enjoyed being with his family and his dog Jet.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter with services beginning at 10 am with the Rev. James Stevenson, former rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston, officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery,. Hanover Twp.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home
