Albert J. Ercolani, Jr., 69, of Kingston, passed away on Saturday August 10, 2013 at his home.

Born August 19, 1943, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Albert E. and Eva Terpack Ercolani.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School and the Wilkes-Barre Business College.

Mr. Ercolani was an entrepreneur who was self employed working in landscaping, and home renovations. He also had worked at the G. R. Leonard Co., Inc., Kingston and Chicago, based.

He belonged to the Luzerne County Deputy Sheriffs Office .

Albert, also known as “Al” to many, was a strong man with a gentle heart.  He carried with him an enormous amount of compassion and helped anyone in need , which he shared with everyone.  He was a caretaker for many.  His generous nature is what many remember most about him.   Albert’s purpose in life became his devotion to his godchild KaeLynn, Pittston,Pa.  KaeLynn brought him overwhelming joy.   She and “Al” spent priceless hours enjoying life together as he taught and showed her how to enjoy each day.   Albert made an impact on many lives.  Whether your troubles were big or small and no matter where you came from, he was your rock.   Albert’s  spirit and energy cannot be completely captured in words. He lived life from the heart, going above and beyond with everyone  he encountered. His departure in this world leaves an emptiness in all those who knew him; To know him was to love him.
Che Dio continui a benedirvi in cielo. (May God continue to bless you in heaven)

We are only here for a little while on this earth and my cousin Albert had a great impact on me every time I saw him. It's the little things in this life that matter the most which eventually will lead to the big things when we leave this place and go to heaven...I have to believe this and I think Albert did too! He made me laugh sooo much when I was a little girl and was staying with him and his family in th 60s. He tried to teach me how to dance at his sister Tessies daughters wedding.....and he would never give up on me! He knew something about EVERYTHING and it was an honor to know him. He treated me with such respect growing up when I didn't think I deserved it. Losing my dad at a young age I got lost but Albert ALWAYs said wonderful things about him when we saw each other and it made me proud. I love you cousin, thank you so much and hope to see you in Heaven. ~Gloria Jean~

To the family who truly lost a wonderful man my sincere condolences. Al was such a thoughtful, helpful and caring man. I met Al at the Forty Fort Pool where he was always with his godchild KaeLynn. Al taught her so much from swimming to enjoying life. KaeLynn was truly his shining star. Al also took care of all the other children whether it was bringing extra squirt guns or balls for everyone to use. He would talk or joke with the adults around him or pick up any papers that people left behind. Al fixed the umbrellas when the wind would batter them or fix whatever was brought to him. Al's personality was second to none, he was the best and will be truly missed. Now Al is KaeLynn's shining star forever and we will have an empty feeling each time we are at the pool but Al will never be forgotten.

We are so sorry to hear of Al's sudden passing.
Al was a great funny guy. Over the years we got to know him quite well .
We will miss seeing him stopping buy and chatting with us.... But we will take good care of the "warehouse building"...Al just like you did for so many years.....
Thank you for the pleasure of your company and KC Dog says thanks for the barking lessons.

Al was a good hearted man who made us all smile at the Forty Fort Pool. When the kids needed their toys fixed or water balloons filled they knew he would be the one to ask. He'd go to the dollar store and buy extra water guns, beach balls and other toys to give to the kids there to enjoy. I can speak for all of us at that pool he will be truly missed. It won't be the same without you Al. I know I'll be looking for that red truck hoping it will be there because of who you were and how much fun the day would have been. We'll miss you Al. May you RIP.
