Daniel Joseph Pace, 71, recently of Plains and formerly of Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late William and Lucy Motta Pace.

Dan was a graduate of Wyoming High School Class of 1959 and a member of  St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and worked on the many bazaars.
He also belonged to the American Legion Plains Post.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served on the U.S.S. Des Moines.

Preceding him in death were his parents were a brother William Pace and father in law and mother in law Pasquale and Victoria Cerroni.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Patricia Cerroni, Plains, and a daughter Leane  Pace, Pittston  and her boyfriend Robert Flannery. Also a son Daniel and his wife Teri Pace, Dallas , grandchildren Anthony and Daniella Pace.and his loyal companion, Oreo.
Also surviving are his sisters; MaryLou Pisano and her husband Frank, Wyoming, and Doreen Pavinski, West Wyoming.
Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter with a blessing service at 9:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter .
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4 until 7 at the funeral home.
