Music by The Piano Brothers

Frank Gubbiotti, of Exeter, left this earth on Monday, June 22, 2020, at the age of 29.

Born on March 13, 1991, in Wilkes-Barre, Frank was the very beloved son of Frank and Linda (Sherin) Gubbiotti, Falls. He was also the best loved little brother (only in age, not in height) to Dr. Maria Gubbiotti Campbell and brother-in-law, Dr. Matthew Campbell, Philadelphia.

Raised in Falls, Frank received his early education at Wyoming Area Catholic School, Exeter, and was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 2009.

Following in the footsteps of his grandparents, the late Frank A. and Rose Gubbiotti, and his aunt, Marilyn A. Gubbiotti, Frank was called to be a Funeral Director, becoming the third generation in his family to serve in this noble profession at their family business, Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, Exeter. His aunt, Marilyn, took him under her wing and taught him the ropes of a very important service at which he excelled. He was a graduate of Northampton Community College, School of Funeral Service, Bethlehem, Class of 2012, and received his professional licensure on June 26, 2013.

Frank served for many years as a Luzerne County Deputy Coroner, and was also a member of the Exeter Lions Club. Professionally, he was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and the Luzerne County Funeral Directors Association.

He was nephew to Mike and Carm Sherin - helping with apple picking, technology fixing, and a host of other things. He was also nephew to Diane Dirhan - always on hand to repair, move, or do any other errand she needed.

But none of this really defined who Frank Gubbiotti was. Anyone who came in contact with him was drawn to him - to his loving soul. People opened up to him and trusted him because they were touched by his open heart. Frankie was THE one you could always count on to help, to listen, to be there.

What matters is how we live and love, and Frank Gubbiotti epitomized the good soul.

Frank was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Rose Gubbiotti; his maternal grandmother, Elynor Sherin; his uncle, Alexander "Ollie" Gubbiotti; his cousin, Ryan Jones.

In addition to his parents, sister, brother-in-law, and his aunts and uncle, Frank is survived by his cousins and countless friends and colleagues.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Frank's viewing which will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at Saint Barbara's Parish, Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter.

The Exeter Lions Club will assemble at the church to pay their final respects on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, and the Luzerne County Funeral Directors Association will assemble at the church  to pay their final respects on Sunday evening at 7:30 PM.

A con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 29, 2020, at 10:00 AM in Saint Barbara's Parish, Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter, with his cousin, the Reverend Robert J. Simon, pastor of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, Moscow, officiating. Those attending the funeral Mass are asked to assemble directly at the church.

Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.

Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the viewing and funeral are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.
