Music by The Piano Brothers

Christine A. Hajala, 33 of Exeter, entered into eternal life on Thursday April 26, 2018 with her loving family at her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the beautiful daughter of Joseph and Erin Kelly Hajala of Exeter.

Chrissy grew up to be a bright, beautiful girl. Her capacity for kindness was unlimited, her generous spirit was unwavering, and her warm, caring personality was a source of joy and comfort to everyone who knew her.

She was a 2002 graduate of Wyoming Area High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Penn State University.

She was employed as an Accounts Manager at Cigna in Moosic PA.

Chrissy loved spending time with her friends and family, her boyfriend Jeff, her cat "Buddy" and her new puppy "Sarge". She enjoyed reading, cooking out, concerts and binge-watching shows like "Gilmore Girls" and "The Office". She loved all things sloth related, often referring to them as her "spirit animal". She loved the summer, hated winter, and believed that afternoon naps were "highly under rated."

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers John Hajala and Joseph Kelly.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her grandmother Anna Hajala, Exeter, her Aunt and godmother Michele Hajala and Uncle Mark Evans of Winter Park, FL, Uncles Joseph Kelly and wife Debbie, Pittston, Robert Kelly and wife Melissa,Pittston Aunt Maridee Kelly of Garden City,South Carolina, cousins Addyson, Ireland Rose and Brendan Robert Kelly.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter.
Funeral services will be at 9:00am Monday  from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church, William St., Pittston.

Interment will be at Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Wyoming.

Everyone who knew Chrissy knows how she could light up a room upon entering. We will all remember her beautiful smile, her big doe eyes, and the way she always saw the good in people. Chrissy was incredibly brave and strong during her yearlong battle with cancer, never complaining and always maintaining her beautiful smile and positive outlook. She was a rock and an example by which we can all follow to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

We will truly miss our Chrissy, a wonderful life that has come to an end far too soon. Our loss is truly heavens gain.
