Leonard T. "Len" Motzki, 84, of West Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at the Highland Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Exeter, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Julius and Julia Drazba Motzki.

Leonard was a member of St. Monica's Parish, West Wyoming and was a graduate of West Wyoming High School,and after high school he served his country  in the United State Navy.

He then went on to  graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business administration.

He also served on the board of Penn State, Wilkes-Barre Campus.

He was given the prestigious award of the Mt. Nittany Society of Penn State. Len was a die hard Penn State fan and attended games all over the country with his soulmate of over 61 years, Madeline.

In 1974 he purchased the Lipiec Insurance Agency and was then installed in July 1979 with a classification of Insurance Broker. He subsequently changed the name and became owner of the very successful,  Leonard T. Motzki Insurance Co., Kingston.  

He was a member of the Wyoming Businessmans Club. Len was a very active Rotarian. having served as President from 1981 - 1982 of the Wyoming Rotary Club, where he received the Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Len was the Sargent at Arms for many years and nothing got by him. However, he had a hard time not cracking a smile or laughing when he collected the fines.  A board member of many years he demanded that they follow Roberts Rules of Order.

Those who knew him, could confirm he that he ruled with an "Iron Finger". He was also an avid golfer and was a member of the Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #0904

He was preceded in death by his sisters Eleanor Ostrowski, Leona Kava and Dolores Tedesco

Surviving to morn his loss are his wife of 61 years, the former Madeline Franconi, and a sister Mary Ann Luperi, Allentown and an Aunt Helen Molosky, Fla., along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at St. Monica's Parish, Eight St., West Wyoming, with the Rev. Peter Tomszak,,pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming.

Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning.
