Santino J. Gubbiotti, 91, of Inkerman, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 30, 2016 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Alexander and Mary Agostini Gubbiotti.

He was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. Schools and Wyoming Seminary School of Business and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.

Prior to his retirement 12 years ago, he was employed as a superintendent for the Jeddo Highland Coal Co., Hazleton.

Tino was one of the founders of the Jenkins Twp. Little League and a member of the Hughestown Sports Club.

He was preceded in death by his sons Thomas and James, brothers Frank and Alfred Gubbiotti, and nephew Alexander and great nephew Ryan Jones.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 72 years, the former Katherine King and a daughter Mary Kay and her husband James Sperling, Dallas.

A daughter in law, Patricia Gubbiotti, Laflin and grandchildren: Denise Gubbiotti, Christine ( Joseph) O’Boyle, Thomas ( Rita) Gubbiotti, Mark ( Star) Gubbiotti, Jamie Gubbiotti, Santina (Travis) Wealand, Amy ( Brian ) Flaherty

Great Grandchildren: Carmella and Joseph Gubbiotti, Ava Gubbiotti and Elle O’Boyle. Also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday August 1,2016 from 4pm until 8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.


Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 9:00am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church, William St., Pittston.

Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers or food that donations in Santino’s name be made to the Care and Concern Ministries, 35 William St., Pittston, Pa. 18640
