Rose M. Pelleschi, of West Pittston, passed away on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.

Born July 10, 1926 in West Wyoming, she was the daughter of the late Ceasare and Mary Marini Pelleschi.

Rose was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter and was a graduate of Exeter High School. She went on to graduate from nursing school at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y.

After graduating from nursing school, Rose spent some time in the Washington DC area but decided that a major change of location was needed. Soon she was off to Mexico where she spent the next 30 years of her life, involved in various business enterprises. In close association with the Catholic Church, Rose became involved with various charitable projects that were a tremendous help to the Mexican people,

Preceding her in death were her sister Diane, a brother Hugo Pelleschi and a sister in law Mickey Pelleschi.

Surviving are her brother Nevio Pelleschi, West Wyoming, and a sister Bruna and her husband John Delconte, Albany, N.Y.

Nieces and nephews: John David Delconte, Mara ( Michael) Shave, Stephen (Kathy) Pelleschi, Michael ( Sandy) Pelleschi, Robin ( Richard) Levy, Mary Francis Hudson, Debra Zardoya, Julie Rusch, and Amy Casticone.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial St., Exeter.

Entombment will follow in the family private mausoleum at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
