Mark J. Kleback, 51, of West Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice and Home Health, Geisinger South Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Kingston, he was the son of Joseph Kleback, Exeter and the late Evelyn Mislan Kleback.
Mark was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston.
He was a 1982 graduate of Wyoming Area School District, and received a Bachelors of Science degree in 1985 from Bloomsburg University. He continued to earn his Masters degree from Marywood University.
Mark had worked as a computer systems analyst for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., prior to his illness.
Mark was very active in his community through the years as president of the Exeter Lions Little League, leader of St. Cecilia's Church Youth Group, Drama parent, and coach of numerous sports teams despite his children's lack of athletic talent. Mark was a prominent member of his neighborhood and loved to walk his dog, Lucy. He was known to the kids as "Mark the Dad" in order to avoid confusion with his son, "Mark the Brother." Mark was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend, loved for his sense of humor and kindness. He loved to tease the ones he loved, and he loved his wife very, very much.
Mark was preceded in death in by his mother, Evelyn in 2012, and his brother Stephen J. in 2001.
Surviving in addition to his father, Joseph, are his loving wife of 30 years, the former Donna Bonfanti and children: Mark and Maria, both of New York City.
Also surviving are a brother Joseph and his wife Daria, Wyoming and a sister Carol and her husband Chris Weale, Warminster, Pa; along with his beloved nieces and nephews: Angela and Joseph Kleback, Lindsay and Meghan Weale, and Olivia and Justin Fargiano.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00am from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston. The Msgr. John Sempa, pastor will be celebrant.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
