Carol Riccinto

Carol Zona Riccinto, 89, of Lyncourt passed away on at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness. She was a life resident of Syracuse. Carol worked several years at Learbury's, Montgomery Ward and last at Chappell's Dept. Store both in Shop City. Carol enjoyed writing and sewing, making her own creations. She was an avid contributor to the "Reader Page" of the Post Standard. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Patrick Riccinto Sr., a son retired army Col. Patrick Riccinto Jr. ,
sisters Josephine Fiore and Barbara Greco.

Carol is survived by her son Richard Riccinto, of Lyncourt, a daughter in law Fay Riccinto, a grand daughter Carol Marie( Randy) Sandford, both of Phoenix City,Al., a grandson Patrick Riccinto III, three great grandchildren, two sisters Doris (Robert) Speach, of Fullerton,CA., Olga (Angelo) Fiorino, of Liverpool, a brother Rudy (Una) Zona, of Liverpool, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.

A private showing was held at Gang Memorial Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Daniel's Church and Entombment in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Grandma,

I never got to say goodbye...and it's haunted me to this day. I hope in some way..you se and know from the windows in heaven that my love for was very sincere. I try not to focus on the last few years..but all of the years. I loved visiting you and Grandpa...I learned so much from you both. I miss you you...and love you dearly!!
