Elizabeth J. Bauder
July 21, 2018
Elizabeth (Betty) Jane (Bogensperger) Bauder, 83, of Syracuse passed away Saturday at the Jewish Home at Menorah Park. She was born on December 5, 1934 in Syracuse to Anna (Banuski) and Nicholas Bogensperger, graduated from North High School, and was employed at Carrier Corporation as a secretary. On September 25, 1959 she wed Carl J. Bauder and started their life's journey together on Roxbury Rd. in Eastwood. They had three children, Sue Ann (Ronald) Archibee, of Sandy Creek, Lisa Marie (Rob) Ganley, of Syracuse, Carl Stephen (Maria) Bauder, of Cazenovia. Betty was predeceased by her daughter Lisa in 2008. They have seven grandchildren, Christopher (Ralph Elwell), Benjamin (Katrina), Casey, Daniel, Carl Richard, Joshua and Julia. They have one great granddaughter Zoe Elwell and another great granddaughter due in October.
Betty was active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in her early years and returned to work as a secretary at Blessed Sacrament School for a short time. She loved to travel, but also enjoyed spending time at camp in Truxton or McCavanaugh Pond, especially if she could host a gathering. Her love of cooking created many memorable events from which no one left hungry. She was a loyal and trusted friend to those around her, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Until her last days, Betty had a warm hug and welcoming smile to share with those around her.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Wednesday July 25 from 4-7 PM at Gang Memorial Chapel. Mass will be at Blessed Sacrament Church on Thursday at 10 AM. Betty's family requests that you please make a donation in her name to your favorite charity in lieu of sending flowers.

Carl,
We are saddened to read of Betty’s passing and send condolences to you and family members. Viewing the posted photos pleases us to see that you hadn’t changed much over the years and that your life together has been a good one.
Her obituary brought back memories of becoming classmates at Grant Jr. High School and she continuing on with so many of us to North High. We recall her as being bright, friendly, liked by many, proud of her heritage and as a person who made good choices, you obviously one of them.
As our circle of family, friends and classmates dwindle; the loss of another member lends greater meaning to all the good times shared and the value of each new day and the blessings of health and longevity.
May she rest in peace and you be sustained by the fond memories of the time you shared together.
Carmen & Connie(Paris) D’Eredita

Dearest Bauder Family:
I fondly recall how sweet and welcoming Betty was to Dan & our family. There are NO words that help during this time but knowing that your loved one brought such joy to the Earth will help heal your heart. Take care of each other now I am sure that is what Betty would have wanted and know that she is with Lisa watching from above. Thank-you for sharing your family!
Love,
Diane Archibee

Sue Ann and family.
Very sad to hear of your mother's passing. I liked her from the get go and I was only about six or seven. Meeting at camp and walking the cut through path from your camp to ours. I was always there with my dad and all the men and aunt Marion. She was always so gentle and warm and personable always. She will be missed.
Thinking of you and your family.
Joanne
