Cheryl Magruder Schmid, 65, of Bridgeport passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in West Point, NY and has resided in central New York most of her life. She was retired from the North Medical Center, Fayetteville.

She is survived by her husband Neal, a daughter Sarah (Rob) Grover, two brothers Dan and Brian Magruder, a sister Dona Stocum, three grandchildren, Cora, Colton and Cody Grover and was Mawmaw to the neighborhood Children.

Calling hours are 4-6PM Thursday Feb. 1, at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing. I will always remember her as happy go lucky with a big heart.
