I am sad to see the passing of Mrs. Oehling. She was a lovely person and a good neighbor. Ive got lots of pictures from when my dad would have big parties. everyone dressed up. I miss that. The neighborhood isn't the same.

I volunteered at Van Duyn with Christa for many years. I so enjoyed her company. I had knee replacement surgery last year and she made a point of taking me out to lunch after I got home from rehab. She was always so thoughtful to everyone. I will miss seeing her Sunday mornings at Van Duyn.

My brother Jess is a Van Duyn resident - we always enjoyed seeing Christa at the Sunday morning Mass - she was a special person to us - always acknowledging us with hugs and kisses! Seemed to have candy for everyone!
Always in a happy mood which many times was needed. We will miss her loving kindness & presence.
