Debora Kay Grant Puzzullo Shattuck:
On June 10, our beloved mom, grandma, wife, sister, aunt, niece, cousin & friend suddenly left us in profound sadness. She joyfully met her Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face. She would not return to earth, having experienced Heaven.  Her faith is in Jesus, and she wants that for everyone.
Deb was born on in Canastota on July 28, 1954 to Willard E. Grant & Janet Brownell Grant, who already went to heaven.  Raised in Kirkville, she graduated from ESM.  She was a passionate, caring geriatric RN, a career she loved until the day she left.
Deb’s favorite things are her family, shopping, Disneyworld and Wizard of Oz.
We will not speak of Deb in the past tense, as she has simply relocated.  She is very much alive!  Her children are her best accomplishment and she has lived for her family.
Deb was predeceased by her 1st husband and father of their sons, David Puzzullo.

She is survived by sons, Jon (Kitty) and Paul Puzzullo, her adoring husband, David Shattuck, her step children, Jason (Wendy) and Katja (Justin) Shattuck, grandchildren Kaelynn, Lucas, Logan, Kai, and Jaila; her sister, Marilyn (David) Dominick, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Gang Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 4 – 7.  A celebration of her life will be at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum on Friday at 10 a.m.

I am truly and profoundly sad to have lost my wonderful sister. She is a fantastic person and is loved by everyone who knows her. Thank you all for your kind remembrances - I can't even imagine our lives without her! However, I know that she is now in Heaven because she chose to accept Jesus Christ's free gift of salvation. She has now met Jesus face to face and would not choose to return to us. Deb loved life and lived everyday to the fullest. She lived for her family, especially her grandchildren and found the very best in everyone, even while she walked through some very hard things.

I love you Deb, and I know we will be together again. I am truly thankful and blessed to have you as my sister.

To Deb's family, although I've never met any of you, I had the pleasure of having Deb as my Supervisor. She was not only a Supervisor, but a friend, and Sister In Christ. She truly was an Angel that was sent to our facility in Holland, MI. in February of this year. I took Deb to our Tulip Time parade, and Beautiful Saugatuck,MI. to see Lake Michigan, and recently to the Joyce Meyer Conference at Res Life Church in Grandville, MI. She will always be in my heart as we only were together for a short time. My sincere condolences to the entire family. You all will be in my thoughts, and prayers.
Deb is with our Heavenly Father. May Peace be with Deb, and the entire family.
Cathy

I am so sorry for the relocation of your beloved Mom. I recall that delightful, bouncy child who was in my kindergarten, you, and I recall your wonderful parents who came to parent-teacher conferences. Love to you and your family. Lennie

Dear family,
I loved your wife, mom, sister, grandma and friend. I knew Deb for about 4 years. She was my mentor and dear friend. She loved life and her patients and her family with all her heart. I so enjoyed hearing stories about her family, especially her grand babies. They were her heart. Thank you all for sharing Deb with the rest of us. She is a special lady. Loved where ever she went. It still doesn't seem possible that she has relocated. I miss her so much. So sorry for your loss. God bless each of you always.

Thank you for sharing Deb with us in Holland. From the moment I met her I knew she was a special, talented, and compassionate person and nurse. Her laugh is contagious and she always kept us well fed. She worked wonders for our staff and residents at Heartland of Holland.

Please know our hearts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time. We were so fortunate to have Deb in our lives and in the lives of our residents. Sorrow looks back, worry looks around and Faith looks up. We are looking up to Deb today and always.

My sincere sympathy to all of you. I had the pleasure of working with Deb for many years, and also enjoyed her friendship. She was loving and kind to all she came into contact with. She loved her family so very much.

I'd like to share a memory with you. When we had worked together, we had a lady that had passed away that had no family. She brought in clothes and jewelry so this person would be dressed nicely, upon her departure from this world. This is the kind of person Deb was, generous of heart and spirit. She will be truly missed and I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
