Jane Louise Wheeler, 96, of Dewitt passed away peacefully on Tuesday. Miss Wheeler was born in Dolgeville and has resided in Syracuse most of her life. Jane retired as executive Vice President secretary at Carrier Corp, after more than 30 years of service. Jane was a life long member of the Alpha Ioto Sorority and in her free time she enjoyed singing with the Harmonettes. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Bridget Wheeler, two sisters Kathleen (Ronald) Watson, Mary (John) Vergosen.
She is survived by a long time friend Diane Bergan.
Services Saturday at 10:00 AM in Holy Cross Church. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hour
Saturday 9-10AM at the Church.

I am sorry to read of Jane's passing. I worked at Carrier also, starting in a training class in 1960. Jane was one of my first friends there and I have many nice memories of her friendship to me. She was so kind and I've always felt grateful for her friendship. Some people you just never forget.
