Vincent (Dottolo) Dottalio, 83 of Syracuse passed away Friday at Van Duyn Home surrounded by his family. He was a life resident of Syracuse.
Vincent was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Rockwell International after 28 years of service. After working at Rockwell his
brother Buster Dottolo introduced him to the world of Clowning. Vince became known as "Patches" the clown. He enjoyed being a clown until 77 years of age bringing happiness to the faces of many children. Also he was an avid fisherman, hunter and in his early years a bowler.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years  former Helen Liadka, two daughters Patricia (Joseph) Re and Mary Potter, a brother Peter Dottolo,
a sister Annie Dunham, a grandson Joseph Re III, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services 10:00AM Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Reception following Mass in the parish center. There are no calling hours.

The family wishes to thank the staff on 6 North at Van Duyn Home for the love and compassion shown to their father.

aunt Helen , I am sorry for your loss, uncle vince and all the brothers were something else, I always enjoy our family picnics on Onondaga lake, I am sure all you cosins of mine remember those days. take care aunt Helen and I send my love, talked to pattie and Margie love always john dottolo

We were all saddened by the news of Vince's passing. We always enjoyed his company when we got to see him on his trips to Buffalo. We will always remember our balloon animal lessons.
