Anna Mikkoweitis Schaack, 87, of Syracuse passed away Wednesday at University Hospital. Born in Lithuania and came to Syracuse in 1952. She was a homemaker.
Anna was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Rudi in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters Rita Lyskawa, Linda Schaack, a son Karl Schaack, all of Onondaga Hill. a sister Elfrieda Nies, of Jamesville, two grandchildren Kyle and James (Nichole), of Syracuse.
Services 1:00PM Wednesday at Gang Memorial Chapel. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hour Wednesday 12-1PM at the funeral home 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.

Karl, Rita, Linda, Kyle, Jaime, and Nichole,
We are so sorry to hear of Tante Annie, and we are asking God to keep you in His care until He brings you together again. Look to Him in hard times, for He will never leave you or forsake you.
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand" (John 10:27–28).

Dear Carl, Rita and Linda: My heartfelt sorrow goes out to you. It's so very hard to lose a mother.... mine entered heaven 16 years ago. May you find peace in the memories you have of her.... and your dad... and know they are now together in God's grace. Forgive any faults she had, and pray for her sole to enter God's eternal resting place. God only gives us one family... not choosen, but appointed by God himself, with it we live thru good and bad times, but in the end, we'll all be together again. Love you always..... To my sweet friends and second family, I am so sorry for your loss of your mother and grandmother. She was a very sweet lady and was always so gracious to me.
