Johanna Quantrille

Johanna Klaisle Quantrille, 71 of Syracuse passed away surrounded by her family Sunday. She was a life resident of Syracuse and a graduate of North Syracuse High School and attended University College. Johanna was a long time employee for Merchants National Bank and Trust Company. She became executive Secretary to the President and Board Chairman.
She was a member of the Syracuse Chapter of International Secretaries Association, and active in several community organizations. She was a communicant of Assumption Church and a very active volunteer in all church activities including working the office, instructing in the Religious Education Program and serving on the parish council. She was a daily communicant of Transfiguration Church. She was most grateful and thankful to the parishioners of both churches for their prayer and support during her illness.
Johanna was involved with her family and enjoyed weekend at Otisco Lake. She was a avid golfer and loved being outdoors working in her garden.

She was predeceased by her mother and father Mary Schilling Dengler and Hermann Klaisle, her step father Joseph Dengler and sister Marion Dengler.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years Oliver Leigh, a son Timothy Craig, and good friend Trischa McShane and precious beloved granddaughter Jada Lee, two brothers Herman Klaisle and Karl (Jackie) Dengler, both of Syracuse, two aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services 8:30 am Thursday at Gang Memorial Chapel 9:00am in Assumption Church. Burial in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7pm at the funeral home 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.

Her Family thanks Drs. Bunn and Cunningham and their staff and most especially the infusion nurses at Brittonfield for their kindness and compassion during the last two years.

Contribution may made to Assumption Church or Hospice of CNY.
