Kurt Fritzsche

Kurt Fritzsche, 102, of Fayetteville, passed away at the Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville, NY. He was born on July 5, 1909 in Leipzig, Germany, the son of Eduard and Frida (née Hammer) Fritzsche. He came to the United States and Syracuse in 1929. He was employed as an accountant at various trucking companies and retired from Timbello Enterprises, Inc. in 1976. Mr. Fritzsche was a longtime member of the Syracuse Liederkranz Chorus and served two years on its Board of Directors. After retirement he was active as a tax consultant with the AARP Tax-Aide program. His wife Paula (née Wilhelm) passed away in 1989.
Surviving him is his niece Ingrid Hester in Annandale, VA, also a nephew Roland Fritzsche and a niece Doris Fritzsche, both in Germany.
Graveside service 2:00PM Saturday November 5, 2011 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 840 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. Rev. Terry Milbyer officiating.
