Donna Quinn

August 5, 2018

Donna Mae Quinn, 68, of Liverpool (formerly Donna Almeida), beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed peacefully and unexpectedly on Aug. 5
Her family and friends mourn her passing and will always remember Donna for her selflessness, her dedication to family, her infectious and outgoing personality, her giving spirit, and her caring service to her patients during her nursing career as a pediatrics RN. She will be dearly missed.

Donna was a long-time resident of the Syracuse area, a graduate of St. Anthony’s of Syracuse, Fayetteville-Manlius High School and the nursing program at OCC. She proudly served as a charge pediatric nurse during a 25-year career at Upstate University Hospital.
Donna enjoyed time with her family, especially her four children and granddaughter, and camping at Lake George and Verona Beach.  She loved singing along and dancing to her extensive collection of 45’s on her jukebox, and never missed playing ball bingo on opening day of the NY State Fair.

Donna is survived by her father, Richard L. Quinn of Fayetteville; her children: Jennifer Almeida Hooks (Mike) of CT, Melissa Almeida Ross of Albany, and Michael Almeida of Syracuse; her granddaughter, Susanna House of CT; her sister, Linda Kasprzycki (Bob) of Cazenovia; her brother, Larry Quinn (Karen) of Fayetteville; her aunts, Nellie Militi of Syracuse and Barbara Andaloro of Cicero; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Syracuse.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Stephanie Almeida; her mother, Shirley (Burkhart) Quinn; and her brother, Thomas Quinn.
Calling hours are Thursday 5-7pm with services to follow at Gang Memorial Chapel 104 Fordham Rd. at Teall Ave.
