Alma Marie “Ree Ree” Sterling, age 87, a lifetime resident of Pasadena, passed away at her family home on November 23, 2018, after a six month illness.
She was born on April 1, 1931, in Baltimore, to the late Dolores and Jacob Hagis. After graduating from high School, she went to work for the C & P Telephone Company, and for the Hallmark store in Riviera Beach. She loved animals, and helping out at St. Jane Frances Church, where she was a member.
Along with her parents, Ree Ree is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years: Lawrence T. Sterling; and her sister Betty Jane.
She is survived by her loving son Mark Kevin Sterling, of Pasadena, and her sister Sandra, of Odenton.
Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday morning from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM, at which time the procession will leave the funeral home to go to St. Jane Frances Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Those who wish may donate to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, the SPCA, or to St. Jane Frances Church, and feel free to express your condolences below as well.
