Henry Alfred “Pete” Taylor, Jr., age 74, a resident of Glen Burnie, and previously of Orchard Beach, went to be with His Lord Jesus on October 15, 2018.

He was born on February 18, 1944, in Baltimore, to the late Mary Lou and Henry “Pete” Taylor, Sr. After graduating from Glen Burnie High School, he worked at Eddie’s Supermarket before joining the US Army. Following his tour of duty, he returned to Eddie’s, where he worked for many years. He loved to eat, especially Ann’s hot dogs with chili, and enjoyed watching old movies; westerns in particular. He was a man who had a very strong Christian faith.

Along with his parents, Pete is preceded in death by his nephew Timothy Ray Cantrell, Jr.

He is survived by his son Eric Taylor, of Preston; his two daughters: Sarina Gatton, of Denton, and Jennifer Taylor, of Baltimore; two brothers: Bruce Taylor, of Orchard Beach, and Kirk Taylor, of Severn; and three sisters: Carol Taylor, of Arizona, Sherry Gavrilenkowsky, of Glen Burnie, and Melody Drylie, of Orchard Beach; and three grandchildren: Jacob, Jameson, and Landon Gatton.

Pete will be buried in Glen Haven Memorial Park, where a graveside service will be held on Monday at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Doug Alberts officiating. Those who wish may contribute to the Omni House, 1421 Madison Park Drive, Glen Burnie, MD 21061, or at omnihouse.org – and feel free to express your condolences below as well.
