William Thomas Maenner, age 92, a resident of Pasadena for 26 years, and previously of Baltimore, passed away on May 19, 2018 after a five month illness.

He was born on May 2, 1926, in Fullerton, MD, to the late Catherine and Peter Maenner. In 1943 he enlisted in the US Navy, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre during WW II. Upon his return from the war, he went to work as a steel fabricator. He was a member of the VFW Post 2462, and during his free time he enjoyed camping, as he was a lover of nature, and was a fan of many sports.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by both of his wives: Irma Ernst Maenner and Rosemary Stienhice Maenner; his two sisters: Katherine Silfies and Agnes Heinbuch; his two brothers: Edward and Henry Maenner; and his youngest daughter Barbara Fagan.

He is survived by his two loving daughters: Catherine Vincent and Deborah Maenner; his two devoted sons: Richard and William Maenner; his two sisters Stella and Theresa; his brother John Maenner; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

Family requests friends visit the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Jane Frances Church on Thursday at 10 AM, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Those who wish may contribute to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and feel free to express your condolences below as well.
