William Joseph Folks, Jr., “Bull” age 74, a resident of Pasadena, passed at his home on April 13, 2018 after a six year illness.

He was born on November 11, 1943, in Baltimore, to the late Edna M. and William J. Folks, Sr. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1960, serving as a postal clerk, and finishing an overseas tour aboard the USS Wasp before his discharge in 1964. For more than 24 years he worked for Lauer’s Supermarket in charge of their maintenance and repairs. He was a member of AARP, and during his free time he enjoyed boating, fishing, and studying history.

Along with his parents, Bull is preceded in death by his grandson Reece Tolbert; and his brother in law Bob Carroll.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sharon A. Folks; his son William J. Folks, III; his sister Edna Carroll; his two stepdaughters: Tammy White and Jamie Davidson; his nephew Steve Carroll; his three nieces: Terry Theis, Kathy Gray, and Linda Ward; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family requests friends visit on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. His funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home. His burial will follow, with military honors, in Meadowridge Memorial Park. Feel free to express your condolences below.
