Howard Louis Moore, age 87, a lifetime resident of Baltimore, passed suddenly on March 19, 2018 after suffering from a pulmonary embolism.

He was born on September 10, 1930, in Baltimore, to the late Louis and Hattie Moore. A veteran of the United States Army, he became a steelworker after his service during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for over 40 years. During his free time he enjoyed the Orioles and the Ravens, and watching John Wayne cowboy movies.

Along with his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 21 years: Mary E. Moore, who passed on October 23, 1987; his two sons: Austin Berrier, Sr. and David Berrier; and his sister Melva Schaeffer.

He is survived by his loving daughter Joanna Wajek and her husband Joe, of Pasadena; his four grandsons: Austin Berrier, Jr. of Goodyear, Arizona, Bryon Berrier, of Westminster, Kevin Wajek, of Pasadena, and Kevin Berrier, of Frederick; his devoted sister Thelma Mackey, of Sarasota, Florida; and five great grandchildren.

Family requests friends visit the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM, with his funeral service commencing at 7:30 PM, during the evening visitation hours. He will be entombed privately in Lorraine Park Mausoleum on Monday. Feel free to express your condolences below as well.
