Donna Mary Wengert, age 72, a resident of Glen Burnie, and previously of Pasadena and Slanesville, West Virginia, passed away on October 17, 2017 after a one week illness.

She was born on May 22, 1945, in Baltimore, to the late Helen and Walter Carey. She loved the outdoors, especially the flowers, birds, feeding the wildlife while living in West Virginia, and taking nature photos; but most of all, Gram loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her brother Pete Carey.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years: Ron Wengert; her two loving daughters: Sheri Kemper, of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, and Amy Purzner, of Glen Burnie; her devoted sister Lorrie Rush, of Pasadena; her four cherished grandchildren: Chris Kemper, of California, Gerry and Ginger Kemper, of New Freedom, PA, and Mandy Purzner, of Glen Burnie; and various nieces and nephews.

Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Saturday at 7:30 PM, during the evening visitation hours. Feel free to express your condolences below as well.
