David L. Kavlick, USCG (Ret) of Chestnut Hill Cove, Maryland, expired January 12, 2017 at his home. He was born in Bobtown, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1943, to Mary Elizabeth Auther Kavlick and Walter Regis Kavlick. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Hammett Kavlick, his sister Mary Jo Kavlick Hood, two brothers: Linus H. Kavlick and Bernard Kavlick. He is survived by his brother Vincent Kavlick, his sister Lucille Kavlick Fralick, brother-in-law James Hood, stepchildren Clay Hammett, Joyce Gray, and Glenn Hammett, niece Jill Hood Underhill, nephews Joel Hood and Craig Fralick. His inurnment, with military honors, will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
