Theresa Baranoski, age 89, a resident of Pasadena, died at her home on October 20, 2016 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on September 16, 1927, in Baltimore, to the late Mary Ann and William Henciak. After attending Patterson High School, she married and became a homemaker and mother of two boys. She served as a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus chapter 3413; Past Chaplain of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post 2462; and was a member of the Seniors and the Sodality of St. Jane Frances Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was a big fan of the Ravens and the Orioles.

Along with her parents, Theresa is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years: Melvin Baranoski; her sister Frances Samelko; and her three brothers: George, Ted, and Tom Henciak.

She is survived by her two sons: John Baranoski, and Robert Baranoski and his wife Karen; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Michael, and Rachel and her husband Keith; her sister Anna Kopp; her brother in law Gerard Baranoski and his wife Joan; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM to go a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:30 AM in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings officiating. Her burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Those who wish may donate to St. Jane Frances Church, and feel free to express your condolences below as well.

Having been next door neighbors for over 50 years Theresa will be sincerely missed. She was delightful and enjoyable and could always bring a smile. We know she is with our Lord resting peacefully beside Melvin.
