Mary Florence Hnyla, 71, a lifetime resident of Pasadena, died of heart disease on June 29, 2016 at her home.

She was born on April 19, 1945, in Baltimore, to the late Cleo Abigale and Charles Wilson Dean. After high school, she went to work for the State of Maryland for 21 years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, country line dancing, and taking care of her four legged tail wagging partner, Fred.

Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years: Gary Hnyla, Sr., her son Gary Hnyla, Jr., and her brother Charles Dean.

She is survived by her two daughters: Kimberly Ireland, of Glen Burnie, and Donna Hnyla McCallister and her husband Charlie, of Pasadena; five grandchildren: Timmy and Melissa Ireland, of Glen Burnie, and Nathan, Natalie, and Nicholas McCallister, of Pasadena; two great grandchildren: Kieth and Cadence; and her sister Nancy Angel.

Family requests friends visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, 21122 on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Her funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM Wednesday, during the evening visitation hours. Those who wish may contribute to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, and feel free to express your condolences below as well.
