Rebecca Lynn Pylant, age 48, a resident of Arnold for three years, and formerly of Pasadena, died on January 28, 2016 after a four year struggle with kidney cancer.
She was born on November 16, 1967, in Baltimore, to Clarence D. and the late Janet R. Belt. A graduate of Southern High School, class of 1987, she worked for over 20 years in the deli/meat section of Lauer's Grocery Store in Pasadena. She enjoyed cooking, baking, party planning, country music concerts, being outdoors, planting flowers, reading her Bible, and of course, spending time with her family.
Along with her mom Janet, Becky is preceded in death by her mother in law Mary Pylant.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years: Kenny Pylant; her father Clarence D. Belt, of Baltimore; two sisters: Terri Esterline, also of Baltimore, and Leah Scott and her husband T.J., of Indiantown, Florida; her soul sister Laura Cantrell, of Griffin, Georgia; four nephews: Ronald Capes, III, of Erwin, Tennessee, Justin and Zachary Scott, of Indiantown, Florida, and John Hall, of Brooklyn Park; and two fur babies: Bandit and Babygirl Pylant.
Visitation will be held at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 7:30 PM, during the evening visitation, with Pastor Bill Bradway officiating.
