Charles Dennis Snyder, "Denny", age 71, a resident of Orchard Beach for 50 years, died at his home on January 27, 2016, after a brief illness.
He was born on December 6, 1944, in Baltimore, to the late Mary and Dennis Snyder. He attended St. Jane Frances School as a child, and enjoyed working various jobs as an adult, including newspaper delivery for the Baltimore Sun, custodian for Sunset Elementary School, restaurant duties at Patsy's and Councils Restaurant, where he worked as a cook, caterer, and bartender. He also enjoyed trying out and buying new furniture.
Along with his parents, Denny is preceded in death by his brother Wayne Snyder.
He is survived by his sister Thelma Mudd and her husband Louis; his brother Joseph Walter Snyder and his wife Darlene; his sister in law Margaret "Peggy" Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. His funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday, with Pastor Angel Cleckner officiating. Feel free to express your condolences below as well.
