Martha Charlotte Pruce, age 79, a resident of Pasadena for 36 years, and formerly of Baltimore, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 at Sinai Hospital after a long illness.

She was born on May 14, 1935, in Baltimore, to the late Sophia D. and John J. Marciniak, Sr.  Proud of her Polish heritage, she was a devout Catholic who loved her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother, and was a wonderful cook; and also enjoyed bingo, romance novels, crossword puzzles/word search, watching TV, and talking on the phone. Her happiest times were when she was with her family and grandchildren during the holidays and special occasions, whether it was making home cooked meals for them at her Pasadena home, dining out, or being with them at her Ocean City home.

Along with her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years: Michael G. Pruce, Sr; and her Baby Brother Marciniak.

She is survived by her daughter Estelle M. King and her fiance James E. Metzger, of Baltimore; her two sons: Michael G. Pruce, Jr. and Joseph G. Pruce, both of Pasadena; her two grandchildren Rachel and Randy; three brothers: Chester, Raymond, and Gregory; her sister Mary Dolores, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Family requests friends visit on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. On Friday, the procession will leave the funeral home at 10 AM to go to St. Casimir Church - 2800 O'Donnell St, Baltimore 21224 - where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, with Father Gerard Bowen officiating. Her burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org - and feel free to express your condolences here as well.

This is a trying time for all of Mrs. Pruce's children and for them I am deeply saddened. She gets to finally join the man she loved dearly and dedicated her life to. Martha did this even after his life was tragically cut too short. She spoke of him with deep love and longing often. I know this brings her happiness, for that we can all celebrate her true final wish. I hope knowing this brings all her children joy and comfort in a time we all ask the simple question, why. I wish Michael and Martha eternal peace and love, as they finally get one another again forever to hold and never let go. The Silver Family's deepest condolences Joe, Mike and Estelle. We will all miss your mother. Her love will walk you through life.

Though Charlotte has been ill for a considerable amount of time, it is still a shock and surprise to learn of her death. We know her family is grieving and offer to them our sincerest sympathy
