Kenneth Theinel Bishop, Jr., age 68, a resident of Glen Burnie for 36 years, died at his home of kidney disease after a four month illness.

He was born on June 11, 1946, in Hyndman, PA, to the late Dolly C. and Kenneth T. Bishop, Sr. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, immediately starting a tour of service in Viet Nam. He reenlisted to begin a career with the Navy, and was stationed in Yokohama, Japan and multiple other places, including years of service aboard the USS Midway aircraft carrier. He retired in 1984 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer, and continued to work for the federal government as a civilian. A member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he enjoyed bowling leagues with his friends, Duckpin leagues with his grandkids; target shooting, hunting, and was a big fan of the Washington Redskins.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years: Tsai H. Bishop; his daughter Dawn Bishop-Small and her husband Richard, of Clearwater Beach; his son Donald L. Bishop, Sr. and his wife Terri, of Pasadena; his granddaughter Madison L. Small, of Clearwater Beach; and his three grandsons: Donald L. Bishop, Jr., Tanner M. and Logan M. Bishop, all of Pasadena.
