John Kazmerski, age 95, a resident of Pasadena for 63 years, and formerly of Brooklyn, died on March 8, 2015 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

He was born on November 5, 1919, in West Point, Virginia, to the late Katherine and Frank Kazmerski. A graduate of Glen Burnie High School, he served in the US Navy during WWII. After the service, he continued working for the Navy Department as a planner - estimator for about 35 years. A member of the St. Jane Frances Church and the Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed woodworking, and serving as an usher in his church.

Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years: Kathleen Kazmerski.

He is survived by his daughter Kathy Cavanaugh, and her late husband Joe, of Pasadena; his son Mike Kazmerski and his wife Margaret, of Florida; and his granddaughter Caitlin Kazmerski, also of Florida.

Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. On Thursday, the procession will leave the funeral home at 11 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. Jane Frances Church, with Monsignor Carl Cummings Officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the charity of their choice, and feel free to express your condolences here as well.
