Dear Aunt Ethel, May you be held, in the sweet graces of our Lord.
I will greatly miss, our quiet talks, at all the gatherings that our family held over all the years and your words of encouragement, in times of indifference.
I will miss your family favorite Chocolate Brownies and the Strawberry Cake you made for me when I was a youngster. And the special way you made me feel at home during so many summers when I came to Pasadena to play with Alvin. I would never have imagined working in the same mill as Uncle Chester (REDS) when I was a kid. Being one of the last from the old school to work in a steel mill.
Thanks for being an important person in my life. As the Beatles once sang,
There are places I remembered.............In my life....I loved them all...

Even this very Christmas, as I passed by one of those "life savers books,: I though of Aunt Ethel. I always loved those when she would give them to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Cor 4:17-18

Ethel, the best mother-in-law a girl could ever have! Truly an inspiration to me and to all my family with her gentleness, her love of adventure, her laughter, her immense patience, and of course her love of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We had so much fun on shopping trips, school trips, vacation, Christmas parties, Easter celebrations, and so much more. So much love and enthusiasm for life; I have been blessed and am grateful for all she has done. She will be missed and I know for sure that she is very busy in her new life! Thanks for all your love!
