Linda Hudson, age 89, a resident of Pasadena for 59 years, and previously of Baltimore and Portsmouth, Ohio, died of congestive heart failure on January 21, 2014 at her home after a two year illness.
She was born on July 6, 1924, in New Boston, Ohio, to the late Bertha Mae and Floyd Curtis. After graduating from Scioto High School, she worked as a model in New York from 1942 until 1945, then married and became a mother and grandmother. She also worked for Maryland Glass from 1960 until 1962, and for Westinghouse from 1968 to 1969. She enjoyed photography, gardening, traveling, large family gatherings, and being a grandmother.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years: Alton “Al” L. Hudson; four brothers: Floyd Curtis, Jr., Ralph, Roger, and James Curtis; and two sisters: Evelyn Mae Stone and Jane Greenfield.
Linda is survived by her two daughters: Rita Harris, of Glen Burnie, and Sharon G. Hudson, of Frederick; her sister Rosemary Reisig, of New Freeland, Pa; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Family requests friends visit on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Her funeral service will begin at 12 Noon on Friday, with entombment to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.
