Kathleen Anne Vlcej
27 Dec 1944 - 28 November 2013

Kathy Vlcej was called home on Thanksgiving morning to attend a feast prepared by our Father.  She died at home in the company of her loving husband and youngest son.

Kathy hailed from South Amboy, New Jersey where she devoted herself to so many others as a loving wife, a nurturing mother of two sons, as a Registered Nurse, and as an active parishioner at St Anne’s in Keansburg, NJ.

In retirement, Kathy and her husband relocated to Pasadena MD, where she enjoyed, flower gardening and bird watching, crochet, needlepoint, and all things crafty, reading, crossword puzzles, and mostly the special time with her sons and grandchildren, and her continued faith and church ministries as a parishioner at St Jane Frances.

She is survived by her siblings: Judith, John, William, David, Leslie, and Richard.  Also, by her loving husband, Robert, their two sons Michael and Matthew, along with their wives Kristen and Ruby, and five granddaughters: Kayla, Alyssa, Madison, Jordan, and Jenna.

Funeral arrangements are care of Gregory Gonce funeral home.  Her wake will be Tuesday, December 3rd from 7pm-9pm and her funeral mass will be at St Jane Frances on December 4th at 11:00 am.

Kathy loved and was loved by many.  She loved her Lord, His church, and her family.  And in her final farewells, she stressed to all us all that ‘Love never dies.’

She is at peace. Kathy brought joy, love , life and laughter where ever she went. The world has lost a gentle soul. Heaven has gained a beautiful gift. This morning, in December! I was followed by a singing cardinal. I will think of her each time I hear one sing. Love and Condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Dear Bob, We are shocked to hear of Kathy's departing. Our prayers will be with you and the family. I worked Kathy's weekend ("Trenton 50) and will never forget the laughter she brought to that weekend and to the movement. She will be missed. We know she is with our Savior now, helping us get thru. Please feel our hugs and love for you.

Bob,

Carol and I only recently learned about Kathy's passing. Needless to say it took us back learning about this so late. We always liked Kathy and wish you and the boys well. We will light a candle for her.
