Louis Augustus Schline, Sr., age 86, a resident of Pasadena for 51 years, died on September 15, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a three month illness.

He was born on March 16, 1927, in Baltimore, to the late Melissa and Howard Schline. After high school, he served in the merchant marines from 1944 until 1948, then in the US Army, discharged in 1951 after the birth of his first son. He worked as a cab driver, crane operator, then as a sales manager for Tate Dodge from 1962 until 1986. After retiring from Tate, he opened LS Motors in Glen Burnie from 1987 until 2007. A 32nd Degree Free Mason, he was an avid Orioles, Ravens, and Baltimore Colts fan, and enjoyed visiting Ocean City, casinos, playing cards; loved animals; steamed crabs, (with a Reese Cup and a cup of coffee for dessert), and always looked for a chance to help others or offer a ride.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years: Joan Schline; his daughter Patricia Burkhardt; granddaughter Carmen Schline; five brothers: Earl, Richard, Charles, Calvin (Tweety), and Maurice (Slip); and two sisters: Norma (Bootsie) Lowry, and Lola Schultz.

Louis is survived by his two sisters: Doris Ochs, of Glen Burnie, and Juanita Sweeney, of Glen Arm; his two sons: Louis A. Schline, Jr., of Street, MD, and David Schline, of Pasadena; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A Masonic service will be held immediately following at 5:30 PM, with the Funeral service at 6 PM at the funeral home.
