Charles Stokes Kolodziejski, age 85, a resident of Carvel Beach, died on February 21, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

He was born on November 4, 1927, in Baltimore, to the late Catherine and Stanislaus Kolodziejski. After high school, he entered the US Army, serving in the military police until 1947. For 39 years he worked as a supervisor for FMC Chemicals Company, and served for 11 years in the Maryland House of Delegates. A member of the Stoney Creek Democratic Club, where he spent multiple years as its President and Chairman of the Board, he enjoyed politics, collecting coins, playing cards, and sports, particularly thoroughbred horse racing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years: Georgia Kolodziejski; his four sons: Alvin and his wife Faith, of Cape Cod, Robert and his wife Linda, of Florida, Thomas and his wife Patty, of Pasadena, and Paul and his wife Sue, also of Pasadena; his daughter Barbara Swetnam and her husband Joseph, of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Family invites friends to visit at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. His funeral service will commence on Tuesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home. His burial will follow, with honors, in Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, Crownsville. Prayers for God's Love and Comfort at this difficult time to his Family and Friends. Uncle Stokes was one of the best. An Honest politician he loved his Country dearly. He also made the BEST crab soup!!!!!!!!!!!!!
