Albert Raymond Heilman, Jr, 66, a resident of Pasadena for 63 years, died on February 13, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

He was born on December 4, 1947, in Baltimore, to the late Elizabeth Cook and Albert Raymond Heilman, Sr. In his youth, he worked for many years at 3B’s Bakery in Pasadena, before entering the United States Army during the Viet Nam War, serving from 1969 to 1971. After the service, he went to work for Northeast High School until retiring, and most recently worked at Food Lion. He most enjoyed spending time with his four beautiful granddaughters and taking care of his wife.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Bernard Heilman, and three sisters: Virginia Durking, Ellen Heilman, and Louise Orem.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years: Salvadora Carlene Heilman; two sons: Samuel Ostrowski and Joseph Heilman, both of Pasadena; five sisters: Mary Schimminger, of Cumberland, Catherine Campbell and Barbara Akehurst, both of Florida, Teresa Bollinger, of Westminster, and Patricia Heilman, of Pasadena; and four grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. The procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 AM to go to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 10 AM in St. Jane Frances Church. His burial will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.

Goodbye Dear Friend, I am going to miss you so very much. You always were so nice to me and said the funniest things when I would call. We had great times at our old trailer on 50. They were great times and I will never forget you or the times we had. Say hello to Bert when you get to Heaven. Im sure he will be there to meet you.

Love, Mary

My sincere condolences to the Heilman family. I have known Albert and and his siblings as a neighbor and friend since 1960. He was always a cheerful, kind and gentle spirited person. We worked together at 3B's Bakery. He will be greatly missed.
