Margaret Gosnell Battenfeld, age 83, a resident of Glen Burnie for seventy six years, and formerly of South Baltimore, died of cancer on May 16, 2012 at her home after a one month illness.

She was born on August 28, 1928, in Baltimore, to the late Marie Matilda (nee Koehnlein) and Allen Hussell Gosnell. She worked for 38 years at Proctor and Gamble in Baltimore, was a member of the Lombardee Beach Community Association, and served as a board member for the Independent Oil and Chemical Workers Union. She enjoyed boating, dancing, and the waterfront.

She is survived by her three loving sons: Craig Bencie, of Leonardtown, Stewart Godlewski, of Preston, and Mark Battenfeld, of Pasadena; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, on Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 12 Noon, with Rev. Gail Button officiating. Her burial will follow in Parkwood Cemetery. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.

Thanks for putting up with all our crazy shenanigans over the years ( ie... Craig , need I say more). You were always there with a good story and a cold beverage . We will miss you here on earth but you are needed elsewhere. Rest in paradise Margaret.

What a great 8 plus yeas of knowing you. You always made me feel like family and I will truly miss the good times, laughs and conversations.
