Leon Robert Taylor, Jr., age 56, a resident of Riviera Beach for many years, and previously of Baltimore, died on February 15, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center following surgery.

He was born on February 9, 1956, in Baltimore, to Marie and the late Leon Robert Taylor, Sr. He attended Northern High School, then worked for Allied Contracting and Resco. A member of the Pasadena American Legion, he enjoyed the Ravens, NASCAR, fishing, and spending time in Ocean City.

He is survived by his mom Marie Taylor; sister Barbara Peterson and her husband Ralph, of Stewartstown, PA; niece Michele McCleary of Wrightsville, PA; nephew Kenneth Peterson of Big Skye, MT; and great niece and nephew Shannon and Eion McCleary.

Family requests friends visit on Monday morning from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM Monday, with interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Feel free to express your condolences here.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Taylor Family, I always enjoyed talking to Leon, I was his Barber in Riviera beach, and he will be sadly missed.

I am saddened to read about Leon''s passing. It has been over 30 years since we last spoke but we grew up and hung out together as teenagers in the old neighborhood. He was my best friend back in the day.
