“Mother’s hold their children’s hands for just a little while…
and their hearts forever.”

Our beloved Mother, Bridget Ann Young Pulido, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2015at age 68, surrounded by her family. She was born to Desmond and Mollie Young on January 3, 1947.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents Desmond and Mollie, her loving sister Mary, her three wonderful nephews Butch, Richie, and Brendon and her two beloved dogs Moustache and Gabriella.

Bridget was the loving mother of Hector (Troy) Pulido, Jr. and his wife Kim, Ann Pulido-Smith and her husband Brian, and Carrie Pulido-Culler and her husband Bob. She was the dear grandmother of Brendan, Meghan, Bridgette, Rachel, Bobby, Kaelin, and Lila. Her siblings, Bud, Pat, Una, Sheila, Cathy, Eileen, and Karen survive her. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Bridget loved to play cards, read stories about love and adventure, baking for the holidays, the annual Sisters’ Weekend Reunion, dancing, music, and travel. She was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church and donated to several charities, her favorites being Autism Speaks and St. Jude’s Hospital.

Her family was her true joy in life, most especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered mostly for her generosity, sweetness, laughter, unconditional love, and her smiling green Irish eyes.

In reflection, Bridget loved life, and her loving hopes and dreams for her family can best be said through the poem “Be Strong and Don’t Give Up” by Pamela Owens
Rentro:

Remember… there is a deeper strength and an amazing abundance of peace available to you.  Draw from this well; call on your faith to uphold you.  Life continues around us, even when our troubles seem to stop time.  There is always good in life.  Take a few minutes to distract yourself from your concerns – long enough to draw strength from a tree or to find pleasure in a bird’s song.  Return a smile; realize that life is a series of levels, cycles of ups and downs – some easy, some challenging.  Through it all, we learn, we grow strong in faith, we mature in understanding. The difficult times are often the best teachers, and there is good to be found in all situations.  Reach for the good.  Be strong and don’t give up.

As per Bridget’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org) or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) are most welcomed.
