Evelyn Marie Larsen, age 88, a resident of Riviera Beach for six years, and previously of Baltimore, died on June 16, 2013 at her home after battling cancer for over one year.

She was born on April 28, 1925, in Baltimore, to the late Mary E. and Andrew W. Jacobs. After college she became a registered nurse, and worked in the neonatal intensive care unit at Mercy Medical Center for 27 years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery; raised African Violets; liked to read, and enjoyed watching the Orioles and Ravens.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years: Harvey H. Larsen.

She is survived by her daughter, Sister Linda Mary Larsen, SSJ; her son Michael Joseph Larsen; two grandsons: Michael Joseph Larsen, Jr. and Jonathan Brendan Larsen; and four great grandchildren: Michael Jonathan, Bailey Elizabeth, Holly Victoria, and Trenton Jonathan Larsen.

Family requests friends visit on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home, PA, 169 Riviera Dr, Pasadena. The procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 10:45 AM to go to St. John the Evangelist Church, Severna Park, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM, with Father James Proffitt Officiating. Her burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park, and then a reception will follow back at St. John’s Church. Feel free to express your condolences here as well.
