To the Swinford family, I was saddened to learn of the passing of Carl and send my sympathy. I had occasion to work with Carl a few times relative to damage to crops by deer back in the 1990's. I always found Carl to be friendly and nice to be around. On one visit he took me to his pond and showed me his catfish. I also appreciate that he has been kind to my son, Evan, concerning farm equipment and hunting deer. I'm sure the Vermillion County community will miss him. Sincerely, Dean Zimmerman, retired DNR wildlife biologist.
