Sorry to hear of his passing. I worked  with him at Trenton Foods  years ago and  went to school with Rubert. Later years I would see Jay at Hyvee most mornings. Always warm and friendly, nice gentle man. Rubert, losing a parent is a hard thing to get through, but try to remember all the time you had with him.

Condolences to Mary and all.   I recall Wagon Wheel dancing a long time ago, offering Jay lifts from Hy-Vee, his ability to tell stories was amazing. Will be missed.

Uncle Jay was a gentle man among Giants.  He was a man that you never would forget.  Him and my daddy, Russell Ratliff, never knew a stranger.
We will miss him but he will live on in our wonderful memories he gave to each and everyone of us.  I will continue to smile thru my tears for he is with all our beloved ones we had to say goodbye to in the past.  We will someday see you my dear Uncle Jay.
